Etienne Abelin

(Musical Direction, Violin, Baroque violin, half-electric Violin, altered voice, Drawings Matteis Project Method, Arrangements), Basel.

As a musician and cultural entrepreneur, Swiss musician Etienne Abelin is interested in exploring new directions and share the results with other people - be it as a performer on stage, by supporting new talents or in creating and producing international cultural projects.
He is the principal second violin of the Orchestra Mozart Bologna and a member of the Lucerne Festival Orchestra, both conducted by Claudio Abbado. Since 2008, he is a music curator at the Festspielhaus St.Pölten, lower Austria, and will be its Artist in Residence of the season 2009/2010.
In 2007 he co-created and produced „A Clear View of Heaven“, a music theatre piece for Lucerne Festival – a reflection on restoration, decay and re-imagination in art and music and in 2008 he co-created and produced „Rhythm’n’Foot 08“, a combination of music and live soccer at the EURO 08.
Mr. Abelin is in the process of becoming a conductor and currently pursues an Executive MBA in General Management at the University St. Gallen, Switzerland.

André Buser

One of the most profiled bass players of Switzerland. Bass player of Salsaband Picason, Solo-CD Avalanches, teaches at the Hochschule für Musik der Musik-Akademie Basel.

Maurizio Grandinetti

(Electric Guitar, Arrangements), Basel

Member of Ensemble Phoenix Basel, Solo-CD with works by John Cage and John Dowland at I CD del Manifesto. First performance of various composers such as Olga Neuwirth, Eliott Sharp a.o. Solo recitals and solo concerts with orchestras like the Basel Sinfonietta, the Sinfonieorchester Luzern, the Kammerorchester Katowice, Orchestra Milano Classica. Performances at Lucerne Festival, La Fenice Venezia a.o. Professor at the conservatory of music in Bari/Italy.

Patrik Zosso

(Electronics, Arrangements), Luzern

Performance Studium an der Musikhochschule Basel bei Julio Barretto, Gregor Hilbe und Jorge Rossi. Tourneen im In- und Ausland mit diversen Formationen, unter anderem Deutschland Tourneen mit den Gruppen Schoeftland und marygold, sowie Konzerte in Skandinavien mit Eiko und playmate. Patrik Zosso ist Mitglied in diversen Musikgruppen und ist auch als Produzent (unter anderem für Universal Music) tätig. Er arbeitet als frei schaffender Musiker und verdient seinen Lebensunterhalt hauptsächlich mit Konzerten. Des weitern unterrichtet er noch Schlagzeug und elektronische Musik am Gymnasium Beromünster und an der Musikakademie der Stadt Basel.


Florian Arbenz

(Drums), Basel

Tours, Concerts and CD-Productions as bandleader with the New Jazz Trio, Kirk Lightsey, Greg Osby, Glenn Ferris, Wofgang Puschnig, Bennie Maupin, Matthieu Michel, Claudio Pontiggia a.o. As a classical musician he performed as a percussionist at various concerts and festivals (Schleswig Holstein Music Festival, Basler Musik Forum, WDR Musiksommer), among others with Heinz Holliger, Christoph von Dohnanyi, Peter Eötvös and Paul Sacher. In addition there have been many solo concerts in Europe and South America. In 2000, Florian Arbenz received the European Culture Prize.

Tamar Halperin

(Cembalo), Tel Aviv

With repertoire that ranges from the Renaissance to the present, Dr. Tamar Halperin
performed as a soloist and with various chamber groups in Israel, Europe, the United
States, Mexico, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. She appeared in venues such
as Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully hall in New York, London’s Wigmore hall, Musashino
Hall in Tokyo, Sydney Recital hall, Vienna’s Hofburg museum, Barcelona’s Liceu, and
Berlin’s Berghain Club. She has collaborated with distinguished musicians and
ensembles, including Andreas Scholl, Laurence Cummings, Michael Wollny, The New
York Philharmonic Orchestra, and the British Serafin Camerata Orchestra. Several of her
concerts were broadcasted on French, German, Austrian, , Swiss, Korean, and Australian
Radio.

 

 

Adrian Rovatkay

(Live Visuals), Berlin

Adrian Rovatkay is an artist and musician. As an artist, he studied free art at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig. As a bassoonist he specializes in early instruments like the Dulzian, the baroque and the classical bassoon. He performs with ensembles such as Musica Antiqua Köln, Cantus Köln or the Berliner Barock-Compagney. He's a member of the Ensemble Chelycus and is active as a composer for productions between genres such as music, dance and sound.
Adrian lives as a painter and musician in Berlin.
